Each sculpture is hand cast in either Hydrostone or Gardencast in molds that I make from my original sculpture. Hydrostone is the hardest of all the gypsum cements. Gardencast is for outdoor display and is made to withstand seasonal changes. The molding and casting process captures all the detail of my original sculptures, even down to my finger prints.
After the casting is pulled from the mold we stain the Fire & Stone sculptures with several washes of acrylic paint to achieve a patina with the look of weathered stone. Patina varies slightly on each casting. Each Bumble Bear sculpture is hand painted. Each sculpture has a rubber foam pad attached to it's base to protect both the sculpture and your furniture.
My Giclée prints are printed by us in our print studio, DoWit Studio. We use only the finest watercolor papers, canvas and inks to create my prints. The canvas is 100% cotton duck archival canvas. The watercolor paper is 100% cotton rag, acid-free archival watercolor paper. The inks are archival pigment inks that are rated to up to 100 years.
Prints are much sharper than images on website as I use low resolution images for fast image loading and to prevent image theft. Your print will not have my copyright mark on it, that is only used on my site to protect my work.
Prints are signed, titled and dated. (Limited Edition prints are numbered as well).
Each print comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.
Watercolor Paper Prints: Each print comes with a white border to make them easier to frame. Total paper size is listed and images are centered.
All focal beads and loose beads are hand sculpted by me. Each are sculpted in polymer clay and many will have precious or semi-precious stones, gems and pearls added to the sculptured bead. No molds are ever used to create my jewelry.
